ECC Adds Tim Russ. Convention News

Edinburgh Comic Con has just announced their first guest for their show in April 2020 and its a big one!

From the Announcement

TIM RUSS is an actor, musician and award winning director.

To our attendees, he will perhaps be best known for his appearance in Star Trek: Voyager, where he undertook the role of Lieutenant Tuvok in 170 episodes. It was a role which proved to be so popular, that he returned as the only onscreen crew member of the mirror universe’s Voyager in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Other than Star Trek, Tim has also enjoyed numerous roles in many fan favourites, such as The Twilight Zone, Spaceballs, Alien Nation, The Highwayman and The Orville, but our favourites would have to be his DC characters, such as Jul-Us in Supergirl and Dr.Chowodury in Swamp Thing.

Actually, Marvel fans may also recognise him from his stint as Hobie Brown/Prowler in the Spider-Man cartoon, a role which was later made more popular by the likes of Mahershala Ali in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse or Donald Glover in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Music wise, you can find Tim’s music over on and iTunes. His band performs regularly in Los Angeles, and his rendition of All Along the Watchtower, as recorded by Bear McCreary and featured in the Battlestar Galactica reboot, is one of our favourites.

ECC can’t wait for Tim to join us in 2020, as anything else would just be illogical.
