It is with much sadness that today we learn of the passing of Canadian actress Barbara March, best known for her performances as Lursa the Klingon schemer and rogue in Star Trek the Next Generation.

As one half of the infamous Duras sisters, March made a lasting impression on fans of the show and was well loved and respected.

Her final appearance in Star Trek was in the movie Star Trek: Generations in whIch both Lursa and her sister Betor died when their ship was destroyed.

She was 65 years old.
